Thailand published Notification of Ministry of Industry B.E. 2561 (2018): List of hazardous substances (No.4) on 11 January 2018 on Royal Gazette. Twenty two industrial chemicals, including BDE-175, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), mercury (I) chloride, mercury (II) sulfate and silane were added to List 5.1 as Type-3 hazardous substances. Mercury compounds for laboratory use were added to List 5.4.
Manufactures, importers, exporters or any person having in possession of those substances are required to apply permission based on Hazardous Substance Act (HSA) within 30 days.
