On 20 April 2017, Department of Industrial Works (DIW), Ministry of Industry, Thailand, published Notification prescribing the sampling method of soil and groundwater in the official gazette. DIW is currently working to develop laboratory registration system for soil and groundwater analysis.
To comply with the regulation, target factories are required to submit Annex 3 format (chemical information and sampling location) attached in the Ministerial Notification by 29 May. According to the official from Ministry of Industry, 20-30 factories had already submitted the Annex 3 by the beginning of April.
