Singapore published Workplace Safety and Health (Major Hazard Installations) Regulations 2017 on 2 May. The occupier of a major hazard installation or deemed major hazard installation must take all measures necessary to reduce the risk of major accidents, including development, maintenance and implementation of the safety case. Major hazard installations are defined as premises where processing, manufacturing or bulk storage by way of trade or for the purpose of gain is carried on of one or more dangerous substances listed in First schedule of the regulations.  The regulations will be in effective on 1 September 2017.
