Thailand published Enhancement and Conservation of the National Environmental Quality Act (No. 2) B.E. 2561 (2018) on 19 April 2018. The Act amend requirements on environmental impact assessment (EIA) based on the Constitution.
In September 2009, Thai court ordered temporary suspension of 76 industrial projects as the projects has not completed environmental impact assessment (EIA) and health impact assessment (HIA) required by the Constitution. Since then, Thailand has restructured EIA system.
